The philosophy

The Confortola family, despite having its origins in Bormio Alta Valtellina, has selected the fascinating and unique Valsesia as a destination for investment in mountain tourism. The Confortola family belongs to a long and respected tradition in the field of alpine skiing, as evidenced by the many successes at national and international level.

The pioneer was "Grandpa Ciondolo" Giuseppe, who in 1950 was offered the management of the ski school and the technical direction of the slopes of the rising resort of Alpe di Mera.

After the restructuring of 1959, what was then a small shelter became the Sport Hotel Camparient that, thanks to the commitment and dedication of "Granma Carla", has since become a landmark of the accommodation of the charming ski resort.

Since 1978, the son Roberto was joined to the parents’ management and in 1980 he took over the reins of the refuge management, backed by his wife Marina.

From 2003 the children Laura, Gabriele and Luca have joined the administration of dad Roberto and mom Marina to bring modern and new ideas, in order to continue the improvement process aimed at maintaining and keeping updated the functional structure. Even today, the Confortola family continues to keep up the love for Alpe di Mera, continuing the commitment to meet the needs of its customers and to promote the unique experience that the Alpe di Mera is able to give.
